North City Motors Tawa – Situated on the Main Road of Tawa, at the south end, opposite St Francis Xavier School.

The business has been owned and operated by Kevin & Petrina Carmichael since 2006.  Kevin has worked as a technician in Tawa for over 35 years. He is supported by permanent staff of Wayne Murray (Automotive Technician) and Shaun Cockle (Workshop Assistant) and we have floating contract support from Rob Wilson & Tony Stoker (ex Butters Autos owner). Both are WOF certified technicians with several years under their belts.  We are also supported as required by Alex Chong from Harbour Capital Auto Electrical for any Auto Electrical work.  


North City Motors Tawa has a fully equipped AA and MTA accredited workshop, using modern diagnostic equipment and machinery allowing us to offer a one-stop shop for all your vehicle maintenance requirements. We also carry out air con servicing and re-gassing. Q-card and all major credit cards accepted.  


The workshop is located close to bus and rail for easy transport to Wellington, Johnsonville or Porirua.  North City Motors Tawa regularly supports the local schools (St Francis, Redwood Primary, Hampton Hill School, Greenacres School, Linden School, Tawa College and Tawa School) fund raising efforts and sponsors Tawa Assn Football Club, Tawa Rugby Football Club & Tawa Bowling Club. We also look after Tawa Community Patrol’s car free of charge.
