About us: Busy, friendly and well-equipped workshop looking for a new team member. We currently have 4 Technicians and are looking for a 5th. Each Tech has his/her own work bay and lift. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service, educating customers about the choices they have to ensure their vehicle is safe and reliable and delivering faultless repairs and service work. We have a zero comeback policy in our workshop as our level of workmanship is what sets us apart. That's not to say we don't make mistakes once in a while, we just have robust processes in place to catch them before the customer can.
Workshop: Auto Super Shoppe Support Office
Location: Albany, Auckland
Position Description: Automotive Technician - Diagnostics. Responsible for general service and repair work but will be focused largely on vehicle diagnosis, mechanical, electrical and drivability. All makes and models but prominently European vehicles.
Experience needed: At least 5 years of experience required as a qualified technician. Should be familiar with European vehicles. Must be well versed in reading wiring diagrams and using various brands of scan tools. Additional training in scan tool diagnostic and scope an asset.
Skills/habits needed: Punctual, reliable, professional, proficient and friendly. We need someone who works well in a team but has the ability to focus and dive into tricky tasks solo. You need to be processed originated in how you operate and tackle issues. We are not looking for silver bullets or guesswork but someone who can verify, test, and isolate issues quickly and accurately.
Remuneration: This is totally dependant on what you bring to the table, but if your skills and experienced are inline with what we require, the starting hourly rate is between $30-34.75/hr. We also offer productivity bonuses if you can produce targeted hours.
